April was a busy month for us. Here are some of the events that the folks here at Lincoln City Gifts took part in:
April 12 was Community Days Bonfire on the beach near Mo's. This event, sponsored by NW Natural, stands as an annual gathering that offers a chance to reconnect with your neighbors, engage in a game of frisbee, interact with dogs, or enjoy a complimentary hot dog.
April 13, we had a great night at the Community Days Dinner. For over 60 years, Lincoln City has honored its volunteers at the annual Community Days Awards Banquet.
This year, the party was at the Cultural Center. Awards were given for the following categories: Volunteer (Lincoln City Gifts owner Nicole Petersen was nominated), Leader, Innovator, Unsung Hero and finally Rising Star of the Year, which was won by Tessa, a Lincoln City Gifts employee.
On April 18 Community Days Food Drive was held from 7am-6pm at the Lincoln City Cultural Center. The event included civic and community groups, other local businesses, nonprofits and caring individuals.
On April 19, Lincoln City Parks & Recreation held a free, 18+ Social Hour and Silent Auction at Chinook Winds Casino Resort. The event, titled "Coastal Dream – A Park for All! Where Everybody Finds Their Favorite Spot," was a fundraiser to support a new community park. The event included a silent auction, raffle prizes, information about park features, complimentary snacks, and a no-host bar.
April 20th was Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast (Mo's. Taft) 7-10am. The event was held to support Lincoln City Community Days with all proceeds going directly to our scholarship fund.
Until next time, we hope everyone has a wonderful May!
