June’s arrival means the Oregon Coast summer is about to get lively. With mild weather up and down the coast and folks emerging from their long-rainy-season hibernation, the joints start jumping. Add to that mix a vibrant and enthusiastic wave of tourists and you get one of the best atmospheres for summertime fun anywhere in the nation.
Here at Lincoln City Gifts, we’re just getting started on our list of summer community outreach events. June 2023 was no exception. It’s all part and parcel of what we do as a local business that believes in helping give back to the community.

Lincoln City Summer Kite Festival
In June, we participated in the always fun Lincoln City Summer Kite Festival. The annual event took place on June 24 and June 25.
It’s amazing to see huge and colorful kites in all shapes and sizes, including modern kites shaped like sea creatures alongside traditional rokkaku kites.
As part of the festivities, Lincoln City Gifts took part in a Kiwanis scholarship fundraiser by hosting Pixieland games and organizing face-painting activities.
It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to meet so many new people. Local businesses and organizations are the backbone of our community, so we felt great doing our part to help generate some fun and excitement — not to mention economic activity!
Looking ahead to the rest of the summer, we’re planning to participate in another Kiwanis fundraiser: the Beach, Bacon and Brewfest! We’ll be running a booth at the event, so check back next month for our recap!
